So, you're getting ready to restore your system. You
got everything you need backed up, all your important files stored
somewhere safe. You find your Windows Vista CD but can not locate
your software's product key (CD key) serial number.
You know that you need to input this serial number
during installation and need to find out what the number is on the
system already installed. Well, good news. There is a way to find
out what the product key of your windows is. This is of course assuming
that your windows still runs and you still have access to it.
The activation serial number is located in the registry
but can not be read because it is encrypted.
There are many 3rd party vendors that produce Key
finder programs and best of all most of them are available free
