| Windows Aero.
What is it and how do I make it work on my computer? Aero
is the visual experience of Windows Vista which features a
transparent glass design with window animations and many new
window colors.
Windows Flip 3D (located next to
the start button where quick launch area usually sits) lets
you preview any open windows in 3D stacks, it will also let
you preview taskbar buttons with live, thumbnail-sized window
previews.
Not all Vista editions are equiped
with this feature and are only be available with Business,
Enterprise, Home Premium and Ultimate editions. Not sure which
version you are running? Navigate to Welcome Center and look
near the top of the window, the edition of Windows Vista you're
running should be shown there.
Having problems with Aero? As mentioned
before make sure that you are running windows version supporting
Aero. If you're still having problems follow these basic tips:
1. Make sure
your hardware meets minimum requirements, here is what Microsoft
recommends:
1-GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
1 gigabyte (GB) of random access memory (RAM)
128-MB graphics card
2. Check your
video card's hardware that it includes Pixel Shader 2.0 (32
bits per pixel)
3. Minimum DirectX
9 is running on your computer.
