One of the new features I noticed was a different look to disk defragmentation. Not necessarily a better version than what we had in windows xp but different for sure. You get to defrag same way as you did before:

1. Go to my computer

2. Right click on your hard drive (this would be C: if you only have 1 partition)

3. Select properties

4. Click tools (You should be seeing the screen below)

I was a bit disappointed that some of the features were already pre-selected for me and scheduled without my knowledge. Run on a schedule feature was turned on with an automatic defrag set to run on it's own. I turned this feature off as I want to be in control and decide when it's all right to run defrag on my drives. Usually I do this once a week. Also what I noticed that there is no feature to scan the drive and show the level of defragmention. Only option you have is to run the defrag or to cancel it. I kind of miss the old screen with the blue and red lines. Oh well, I guess I will have to get used to the new look.
