Installing 3d support video card on Windows Vista Home Premium edition.

Windows Vista rated my computer with a message "Your computer has a Windows Experience Index base score of 1.0" due to no 3d hardware acceleration. See picture below.

After inserting a new video card (Asus m6600LE) things have changed dramatically. A lot of new features in windows also became available. Windows has detected the new card and surprisingly found a driver for it without any problems. See pictures below.

It's nice to see that the card was accepted and the driver provided by microsoft is working nice. I had to reboot the system for the changes to take affect. Of course, first thing I did after reboot was check the score rating and surprisingly it displayed a message: " Your computer has a Windows Experience Index base score of 3.5). See picture below.

I must admit that I was a bit skeptical before I installed this card and it's capabilities with Windows Vista. If you're not sure if your hardware will be compatible with Vista please visit Microsoft's Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor (download and installation required) Advisor will only work with 32-bit versions of Windows XP and Windows Vista and it will not work with Windows 98, Windows 2000, or Windows XP Professional x64 Edition.
